It’s a one-night-only event — and a rare opportunity to see two of Australia’s most celebrated musicians bring their film score to life, right here in Kingborough.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, tOpening Night is shaping up to be something special! We recommend arriving early to enjoy a bite to eat and a drink before the film—our menu features a selection of light meals and snacks, along with a generous pour of Tassie hospitality: local bubbles, wines, beers, gin & tonics, and plenty of non-alcoholic options too.

    During the film, the extraordinary Grigoryan Brothers will perform live, and afterwards, we invite you to stay for a Q&A with the filmmaker. It’s the perfect way to kick off the festivalhe way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • Yes! We’ll be serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, plus a tasty selection of hot and cold food. We kindly ask that you don’t bring your own, as we’ve got everything covered. Our full menu will be released soon—watch this space!

  • Generally, doors open 30 minutes before the screening. However, for this festival we’re serving up a wider range of food and drinks, so we’ll be opening doors earlier than usual. Keep an eye on your inbox—we’ll email you directly with the exact door-opening time for your session.

  • Nope—all seating is general admission. It’s first in, best dressed, so if you’ve got a favourite spot, we recommend arriving early to claim it (and maybe grab a snack while you’re at it!).

  • Not this time! We’ll have small side tables or stools available so you can pop your food and drink down in front of you and enjoy the film hands-free. Much more civilised—and far less risk of wearing your wine.tem description
